Farming mechanics[ | ]

Farming[ | ]

To get started with farming, you'll need to meet Aubrey at Oma's inn and invite them to move into town. Once doing so the next in-game day, Aubrey will have the farming area unlocked, this is the second exit of the forest path, the one that was some stairs blocked by a broken fence. Speaking with Aubrey there will give you the crafting recipe for the two needed equipment/tools for farming the hoe and watering can!

Once you craft the two items and have them, you'll use the hoe to tile the ground and create a square space to plant your crops, the seeds can only be brought from Aubrey. When planting seeds it's important you look what seasons the seeds can grow in, you can check that within Aubrey's store when hovering the cursor over the seeds and reading the information on the right of the store UI (can also check the table below). Planting seeds in the wrong season causes the seeds to stay on the tile square but they won't start growing until you get to the correct season.

Once planted you'll need to water them each day to ensure the plants grow, you can miss one day to see the plants starting to dry but have to make sure you water it the day after you missed watering or else the next day after that the crops will die and would have to use the hoe to remove the dead crops and replant. For those with larger farms there are two unlockable to help with watering, sprinklers and the watering can upgrade. Much like many things in the game they have unlock requirements.

For unlocking Sprinklers:

  • Harvest a total of 50 crops.
  • Complete 10 Crop Requests for Oma (when you've unlocked food crafting you know you're close to the sprinklers).

For Upgraded Watering Can:

  • Harvest a total for 100 crops.
  • Use food crafting 25 times.

Fertilizers[ | ]

When farming and collecting/harvesting produce, completing crop requests for Oma, you'll unlock more features for farming like above. Some of these unlocks are wonderful fertilizers that can help speed how fast a crop grows and one boosting the quality of the crop.

Quality Fertilizer(s):

When farming you can get 3 kinds of different quality produce, Normal Quality, Medium Quality, and High Quality. You can increase the change of getting quality produce using quality fertilisers on the soil before you plant the seeds. Receiving a higher quality produce is never guaranteed.

Speed Fertilizer(s):

Fun Extra Information[ | ]

  • When going along the back fence of the farm area, you'll noticed a closed gate with more space to grow your farming area. This gate becomes open when you harvest a total of 120 crops and then speak with Aubrey.
  • Can build houses within the farming area and the farming area extra space.
